It is a great pleasure to introduce Executive Chef Gregory Howell, who joined the Naples Yacht Club in July of 2010. Chef comes to us from Cafe L'Europe in Palm Beach, Florida where he has been the Executive Chef since 2006. Greg is a native of Melbourne, Australia and received his bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts at TAFE University in Queensland. Greg did his apprenticeship at several five star hotels and resorts and was voted "Apprentice of the Year" for the entire state of Queensland.
Upon graduation, Greg returned to Melbourne where he worked for many years at some of the most prestigious restaurants in the State as both an Executive Chef and then as a consultant helping owners of top restaurants improve their menus, staff organization and culinary direction.
In 2004, Greg followed a "spirit of adventure" and began working as an Executive Chef on private yachts, traveling the world. One assignment brought the yacht to Florida where he met his wife, Heather, in Palm Beach. Heather and Greg have been married since 2005 and have a son, Elijah.
Greg is proud to have an outstanding reputation as an international Executive Chef. He is traditionally French trained with extensive training and experience with modern contemporary fusion cuisine and international wines. The Naples Yacht Club is thrilled to have Greg bring his talent, creativity and enthusiasm to our culinary team.
